Rachel & Miss K

I met Rachel about a year ago when we somehow did a craft show together at my house, without ever meeting each other beforehand. I'm happy to now call her my friend and I've genuinely loved getting to know this girl. Rachel is one of those people you love more and more with every conversation, every visit, and even every blog post! She's positively exuberant, a little sassy, and incredibly open and honest. I have a great respect for this girl and I was so happy to get to spend a little time with her and her incredibly cute kid on Friday. I got a little lucky, I have to admit, Rachel's sister in law is also a photographer and she just happened to be in Hawaii when Rachel needed a headshot...stat. Lucky me : ) So here you go, Rach! You and little Miss K both look amazing! I totally love these, I hope you do too.

This is kind of the cutest thing I've ever seen...if I do say so myself.

Routing for Manchester United...just like Daddy.

Her name is Kensington and she likes to DANCE!

I'm in love with this face. Seriously people, how CUTE is she!?!

I love Rachel's vintage inspired sense of style...this chair rocks.

Miss K took a little break to talk to Grandma and have a snack.

Watching kids explore their own front yards is pure magic.

Rachel, you're stunning...inside and out.

I know everyone knows Rachel by her big, contagious smile, but I think her quiet side is just as lovely.

Thanks girls! I had fun hanging out with you BOTH!

Serena & Jon

I recently reconnected with a friend from high school (thanks Facebook!). A friend who just happens to be a fantastic photographer and a great inspiration to me in my journey to learn as much as I can from this medium. Branden and I even hired her to shoot our wedding next year and we're SO excited! Her name is Amanda Patrice and she's amazingly talented and oh so sweet. I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot alongside Amanda for a wedding last Saturday. I'm really happy with the way everything turned out. Amanda wasn't only fun to work with, she was helpful and I learned a thing or two. It's funny how people show up in your life at just the perfect time, hmmm? I really enjoyed second shooting this wedding with Amanda and I look forward to spending more time with her in the future.

Anyway, the wedding was small and intimate and absolutely gorgeous. The bride was stunning! The dress was stunning! The whole thing was just so beautiful, I feel lucky to have been a part of it in some tiny way. Serena, Jon, I hope you two live happily ever after, you both deserve it!

This house was almost as pretty as the dress. I was in love!

I can't get over the amazing textured orange wall just warming up the whole place. It was a perfect backdrop for our lovely Serena.

The bride was just perfect in every way.

The afternoon light was the most beautiful thing!

The big picture.

A little prayer.

I snuck up on them post-nuptials and captured a special little kiss while family was rounded up for photos. I love how happy they are.

A few details.

The beautiful bride.

The whole day was just wonderful and went off without a hitch. The night ended with lots of dancing, fun, and most importantly, LOVE.

Amanda, thank you for the opportunity to be your sidekick for the day. It was a fantastic experience in every way.
Serena & Jon, you're perfect and I hope you too will be very very happy together.
