Amanda Arbues

Know what I love? I love it when you meet someone who is absolutely beautiful and after spending just a couple of hours with them you realize they're not just gorgeous on the outside, but on the inside as well. That's exactly how my most recent session went with the lovely Amanda. It was such a pleasure to walk around the Orange Circle with Amanda and get to know her a little bit. On top of her smokin' good looks, she's a very talented singer and actress! Maybe one day I'll get to see her in something awesome!

On to the pictures! I totally love this outfit!

In love with her big brown eyes.

I got out of the way just long enough for Branden to take this shot...and I love it.

Channeling her tougher side.

And her sexier side. Meeeow!

This is her "girl next door" look.

Amanda and cousin Katie grab a hug for the road. I really really like these girls!

Amanda, you were a total doll to shoot. Thank you for my thank you card, you're so sweet!

Eleanor Grace - Newborn

I've fallen in love again!
I just can't help it, I LOVE me some teeny tiny little babies! This is my new itty bitty friend, Ellie Grace. How pretty is that name!?! I love it.

Ellie wasn't having such a great morning when I came to see her but we managed to have a few moments that were absolutely precious. She gave me a little run for my money (I've officially been peed on by a diaper-less baby! I knew the day would come) but I'm happy to say that I'm still pretty proud of the outcome.

This is the first time I've experimented with adding noise to a photo in post-processing and I loooooooove it! This is one of my favorites.

I've been so excited to take Ellie's picture in Karen & Matt's beautiful yellow chair. I scoped out this spot during out maternity session.

Can you believe those eyes!?!

Matt was so sweet with his baby girl. Even in stressful moments, he was so calm and comforting, it was a pleasure to witness. This man is already such a fantastic father and I just know Ellie's going to be a total daddy's girl. She even looks like him!

The light in Karen's home is magnificent. Be still my beating heart.

I love watching new parents just BE parents. It doesn't matter if the baby is is upset and crying or happy as a clam, it's so neat to watch the instant transformation of first time parents...especially when they're good friends. It's such a beautiful thing. Karen is already the amazing mommy I knew she would be.

I'm seriously in heaven with all these babies! I think I actually uttered the words, "I want one!" the other day...yikes! Good thing I can have my fill of these cute little ones for awhile instead!

Oh, hey Autumn, I didn't see you there!

I had a quick little photo shoot at Irvine Park this morning and I thought I'd bring along my macro lens and take a little walk afterwards. It was the most beautiful morning. Brisk and cool, with the sun shining bright. It was one of those days that was so gorgeous it forced me to stop and take in the fresh air and just bask in the incredible fall weather. I've been waiting for you, Fall! I'm so glad you finally showed up! Don't move, you're perfect! I even got to bust out a scarf later in the day. Love love love!

So, it's been awhile since I took my macro lens out for a spin so today was the day. I quickly remembered how much I enjoy macro photography. How if forces me to take a closer look, see things from another angle and just enjoy the nature we still have around us. Today was just an overall fantastic day, I loved every minute of it. Tomorrow should be great too! Life is good!

I watched this little ladybug so long that I gave her a name. Petunia. We're totally friends now.

I love the colors in this one, how 'bout you?

These are the teensiest tiniest little flowers and I love them.
